Seeing how this is the first Thursday of 2018, I thought it would be neat to start doing Throwback Thursday posts!
This first post is all about the old time tradition of shadow puppets!
I remember as a kid watching the classic Sesame Street video of various shadow puppets with accompanying sounds. I remember one of my favorites to make was a bunny rabbit. Although, the one I always made was a more cartoony version where I could flutter his little nose.
It looked like this:
I used to sing theĀ Little Bunny Foo Foo song and play along with the characters I created on my bedroom wall. Good times.
Last year I strung up a sheet on a hot sunny day and tried showing the kids how to do some animals. I think next time I’ll learn more animal shapes and provide recorded animal sounds. Maybe I can recreate that magic I experienced long ago watching that segment on TV.
